How to download photos from a TikTok carousel

Save individual images from a public TikTok photo post, keep the slide order and check what is missing when a gallery does not load.

Make sure it is a photo post

A photo carousel contains individual images you can move between. A video made from still pictures is already a video and needs the MP4 tool. Copy the post link rather than a screenshot or the creator’s profile address.

Use material you own or have permission to save. For your own photos, the originals on your device are the best long-term copies. A public post is useful as an accessible version, but it may not contain every detail of the original image.

What happens to the background music?

Still-image files do not include an audio track. Saving the gallery does not create an MP4 with timed slides or the music from the TikTok player. The slideshow-and-music article explains the difference.

If you need to build a video from permitted images, use an editor and audio you are allowed to use. TTDWN does not automatically reconstruct the interactive photo post as a new video.

If an image or the whole gallery is missing

Check whether the original post still opens and remains public. Copy a fresh post link if necessary. A source can fail even when an older thumbnail remains visible, so compare what the tool returns with the current post.

If the gallery loads but a file save fails, check the browser download status and try a fresh result. For an avatar rather than carousel photos, use the profile-picture downloader with the public profile URL.

Documentation supports the platform and file-format explanations. Community discussions describe individual experiences and are not proof that a tool works for every post.
