How to check a TikTok LIVE replay for download

Understand which completed replay links TTDWN can check, why a live room is different and where creators should look for their own recordings.

First establish that a replay exists

A creator being live and a replay being available are separate conditions. Waiting until the broadcast ends does not guarantee that you will receive a public recording. The LIVE Replay Downloader needs an accessible completed source.

If the only address you have opens a live room or the creator’s profile, it may not identify a replay. Do not expect the tool to watch the account and save a future broadcast in the background.

If you are the creator, check TikTok’s own replay area

TikTok documents LIVE replay controls for creators in its Help Center. Use those account controls to inspect your own available recordings. A recording visible in your dashboard is not automatically a public URL that another service can open.

Save an original or official replay copy when available. Keep it in your normal backup storage before cutting shorter clips. That also avoids depending on a temporary download result later.

Submit a publicly accessible completed replay

Open the replay link and confirm that it is the recording you expect. Paste it into the LIVE replay tool, submit it and read the response. If an MP4 is available, save it and wait for the browser transfer to finish.

Processing limits can prevent a long replay from being prepared. Read the limits displayed on the tool page and the returned error; changing the filename or pasting a profile URL will not reduce the source length.

  1. Confirm the broadcast has ended and a replay is available.
  2. Copy the accessible replay link, rather than the live-room link.
  3. Submit it to the LIVE replay downloader and save an available MP4.
  4. Check the saved duration and audio before using it as your archive.

When a replay cannot be downloaded

TTDWN cannot create a missing replay, recover an expired recording or sign into a creator account. Ask the creator for a permitted copy if no public replay is available. For your own content, check the official replay controls and your local recordings.

If the creator published an excerpt as a regular TikTok, download that post with the video tool. It is a separate clip and should not be mistaken for the full broadcast.
